Diving into Summer with a Splash!

Whew! The heat index has been close to 100 here in Georgia and it's just too hot outside to go anywhere. Not to worry though we are surviving quite nicely. I can't imagine not having a pool with boys. Every mom of boys needs a pool.

Today, while they were swimming, I climbed up on a ladder and practiced taking pictures in "manual" mode. Yes, you heard that right. Manual. I learned how to set the exposure manually and to change it for different creative effects. I'm a little excited. All of these pictures are SOOC. By setting the exposure manually the histogram reading seemed to be perfect every time.

So, how are you all surviving this heat??

Awesome pictures! We fortunately have a pool, too...it's not quite that hot here, but it sure is nice to be able to cool off and have fun! The summer is going so fast, though! Enjoy!

Those are GREAT pictures! We've been spending our summer at the pool too -- just not ours (I wish we had a pool). All our kids are doing swim team this summer, so they are having fun and staying cool too.
